Q: Are there two different Caulfield Studios locations?
A: Yes! The Detroit Lakes location has been there for over 45 years, servicing the Lakes area. They are located two miles east of Detroit Lakes on Highway 10. The Grand Forks location started in 1989, and is located in historic Downtown Grand Forks.

Q: Who are the photographers at each location?
A: Craig Caulfield has run the Detroit Lakes location for the past twenty years, continuing the family tradition started by their father in 1958. Kent and Bob Caulfield started the Grand Forks location nearly twenty years ago to offer services to include northeastern North Dakota.
Q: What makes Caulfield Studios different from other portrait studios?
A: We are a full-time, full-service studio with extensive experience in the areas of Weddings, Families, Children, High School Seniors, sport teams and individual Photography. We pride ourselves on exceptional customer service and back our photographs with a 100% satisfaction guarantee.
Q: What are your hours?
A: Both studios are open Tuesday through Friday from 9:30 am to 5:30 pm, and Saturdays from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.
Q: How do I arrange for a session or consultation with your studio?
A: Simply call the DL Studio at 218-847-1616 or 1-800-726-1617, or call the GF Studio at 704-746-0078 or 1-800-735-0068 to set up your appointment. When you book your senior session, we ask for a $100.00 Reservation Fee to hold your date. This Reservation Fee will stay on file as a credit toward your finished portrait order.
Q: I have an upcoming senior session. What do I do now?
A: Once you schedule your appointment, we will send out a detailed information packet explaining all of the steps of the senior portrait process, from how to prepare for your appointment to selecting your favorite poses and placing your portrait order. If you still have any unanswered questions, please call the studio.
Q: How long after my session until I can view my images?
A: Your images are usually ready for viewing within a week after your session. A View CD and thumbnails of each of images are sent directly to your home. At home we want people to narrow down their choices to a select few that our staff can show, compare and enlarge so you can make your final selections.
Q: Do I have to order from predesigned packages?
A: We offer a wide variety of package options that we can modify to suit your needs, or you can order individual prints from our al a carte section. Our sales consultants will work with you so you get exactly the number of prints you need!
Q: Once I place my order, how long does it take to get my photos?
A: Normal delivery time of your finished order is 4 to 5 weeks.
Q: How do I pay for my order?
A: When you place your portrait order, we will deduct your $100.00 Reservation Fee from your total and ask for half of the balance to be paid before processing begins. The remaining balance is due when you pick up your finished order. We accept Visa, MasterCard or Discover.
Q: I’m getting married. How do I book my wedding with Caulfield’s?
A: First, congratulations on your upcoming wedding! Call our studio as soon as possible to see if your wedding date is still available. Stop by the studio anytime to see a sample album and discuss package options. If you would like to reserve the date with us, there is a $300.00 nonrefundable Reservation Fee due to hold the date and this fee will go towards any package you choose.
Q: Do you offer custom framing?
A: Yes! River Front Framing is based out of the Grand Forks studio. We have hundreds of frames and mats to choose from, including the latest styles, and experienced sales staff to help you find the frame that will best suit your decorating needs. The Detroit Lakes location has a limited selection, but can work with the frame shop to meet your specific needs.
